You’ve probably heard about the “golden hills” of California, right? I mean, come on, there’s even a town named “Golden Hills” in the state! So anyways, what people usually don’t mention is that the hills are golden because all of the grass is dead. Typical.
Here’s a view of some golden hills on the north side of Mt. Diablo. This pic was taken on the northeast side of Concord, CA, looking south over some sort of government owned property. Bonus points if you can tell me what’s in those bunkers/storage facilities scattered throughout the field!!!
